One of the best parts of visiting Disney is shopping for all your favourite themed merchandise to bring home!
And let me tell you, there’s A LOT of it!
For starters, Disney Springs has the largest Disney store I’ve ever seen. And don’t even get me started on how many stores there are in each park!
Although there are some crossovers, each store still has some of their own unique souvenirs from Disney World (so you just might have to go in each of them!).
So that you don’t end up spending all your life savings on Disney World souvenirs, I put together a list of practical yet still very fun souvenirs from Disney.
Psst! This blog post contains affiliate links in it which sends me a bit of extra money if you use them… at no extra cost to you!
Get These Disney World Souvenirs Before You Arrive At The Parks…
There are some very popular souvenirs from Disney World that you should actually buy before you ever arrive at the parks.
Part of visiting Disney World theme parks is being surrounded by everything Disney, and I’m not just talking about the mascots and rides…
Everyone is walking around sporting some sort of Disney paraphernalia. Naturally, you want to fit in and take part in the fun.
The best way to do that is to come to Disney prepared. It will save you money, and this way you can start your trip off wearing the right things instead of having to search for it while you’re there!

Traditional Mickey Mouse Ears
Mickey Mouse ears are one of the top things to wear in Disney World. But if you buy them when you’re at Disney World, it will cost you… A LOT!
And you can’t really wear Mickey ears outside of Disney. So they’ll just end up sitting in your closet gathering dust until you forget how much you actually paid for them for you to finally throw them out.
Or you could just order some Mickey ears from Amazon and save yourself the headache and money!
Mickey Mouse Ears On Amazon
Amazon has so many different styles of Mickey Mouse ears to choose from too – so you don’t just have to buy the classic Mickey or Minnie but a themed set of mouse ears based on your favourite Disney movie.

A Disney Themed Backpack
Another very popular Disney souvenir are backpacks.
Every Disney store sold them, and countless people actually had them walking in the parks! But even though the pattern changed, every backpack was THE SAME style…
Also it’s slightly inconvenient to buy a backpack when you’re already in the park… I mean unless you head to the park with all your belongings in a recyclable bag that you can toss after, you’re walking around with two backpacks for the day.
What I’m saying is that you’re better off buying a Disney themed bag, like one of these from Amazon, before.
You also have a much larger selection of a type of backpack, and it’ll also most likely be cheaper.

Disney Themed T-Shirt
Even though you can find a ton of Disney T-shirts at the parks, you want to show up your first day in the appropriate apparel.
If you don’t already own a Disney themed shirt, buy one in advance so you can at least wear it your first day in the park and not feel left out!
There’s nothing stopping you from finding another one while you’re there either, but now you won’t have to do a mid-day costume change!

Fun Souvenirs From Disney World For The Parks & How To Use Them After
The best Disney souvenirs are those that are fun to have while you’re at the parks AND are still practical when you’re back home.
Collectible Trading Pins: Disney World Souvenirs
At first, I thought Disney collectible pins were utterly a waste of money and time… but then they grew on me…
I’m not saying to buy every collectible pin imaginable, but if you see your favourite character why not pick it up. It’s fun to show it off at the park by adding them to your shirt or backpack.
When you get home though, you don’t just have to throw your new pin in the back of the closet like the Mickey Mouse ears.
For starters they can actually stay on your backpack to add some personality to it. Or if you have a bulletin board at home or your office, use them as pins to hold up your papers.

If you have a few Disney pins, you can even set up a whole cork board just for photos from your trip to Disney. Instead of using regular pins to keep the photos in place, use your new Disney pins!
P.S. Disney Collectible Pins are also meant to be trading pins, which adds a new Disney activity to take part in! So if you see a Disney staff with one you like better, feel free to ask them to trade!
Something Signed By Your Favourite Disney Character (Instead Of An Autograph Book)
Another very popular Disney souvenir is an autograph book for your favourite Disney characters to sign.
At least the booklet itself isn’t an expensive souvenir… in terms of cost anyway…
It is a very expensive souvenir when it comes to your time though! Instead of enjoying Disney and the rides, you’re stuck waiting in super long lines to meet all the characters.
All of this just to throw out the book a few years later.
But I won’t deny that it’s still a fun activity and memory to meet your favourite Disney character and have something to remember it by!
So instead of getting their autograph on paper, buy something new for them to sign. If you’re travelling with kids, buy a new plushie, or have them sign a T-shirt or a hat!

Now you’ve made your souvenir from Disney even more unique! And you you only have to wait for one character instead of all of them!
P.S. You can even frame the T-shirt afterwards if you don’t want to wash it off!
Disney Magnetic Shoulder Plush (Gifts From Disney World)
Disney’s newest trend are magnetic shoulder plushies. They’re kind of exactly what they sound like, a plushie that has a magnet it in so it can sit on your shoulder.
We saw people with them strapped on their T-shirts, backpacks, lanyard… you name it! It was adorable to spot them!
Although the Disney magnetic shoulder plushies seems really silly at first, they grew on me so much so that I bought myself my very own Winnie the Pooh friend!
I mean, you’re at Disney after all, you want to have a little fun! Where else can I comfortably walk around with a plush toy attached to me, without any shame!?

And I had so much fun! My little friend came with me everywhere for the day and I had no shame, everyone seemed to have one!
Because the plush toys are magnetic you can continue use them even when you’re home. I don’t feel as comfortable walking around with Pooh attached to me, but I can still attach him to anything magnetic.
I have my Winnie the Pooh as a desk mate attached to my computer monitor. First he brings me a lot of joy while I’m working, but I’ve also put him to good use by holding my elastics!
But you could also put him on your fridge as you would any other magnet!
Why not print out your favourite photo from your trip and use your magnetic plushie to hold it up!?
But you have to watch out which magnetic plush you buy… some won’t look good on your fridge because the magnet is in the wrong spot. Make sure to test them out in different locations to see how they look if they’re horizontal or vertical.

Convenient Disney World Souvenirs (An Umbrella, Sweater, Hat…)
There are certain “just in case” items you can pack for your Disney day bag. Or you could also not pack them, and just buy them once you’re when you need them!
It becomes a guilt free souvenir now because you actually need it! So it’s basically free… girl math anyone!?
Don’t bother packing a sun hat, when the sun comes out, just buy one!
And definitely don’t bring an umbrella for a day at Disney either. If it happens to rain, head in to one of the many shops and pick up a neat practical Disney world souvenir.
Instead of lugging a sweater with you all day, simplify your life and just buy one at the end of the day when the temperature cools off in Disney.

Disney Album Or Picture Frame & Photo Pass Photos
Disney takes full advantage of snapping photos of you any chance they get!
And now Disney World has now made it even easier to get your professional photos. All you have to do is be ready to scan your card (Magic Key Pass) after every ride, or meet and greet.
Then just sign on to your account and your photos are there for you to buy!
But don’t stop there! Pick up a picture frame or even photo album at Disney for your photos!
You can of course ask any staff to take a photo of your using your phone, but it’s also a nice Disney souvenir to have a professional photo. Plus, you can’t exactly take any action shots of you on the rides!
